    Ready to design your end-of-life journey as authentically as you’ve lived your life? 🌿 Join us for our upcoming Death Style Workshop, where we’ll guide you through Five Wishes, a unique and compassionate tool for documenting your personal, medical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

    Five Wishes is unique among all other living will and healthcare agent forms because it speaks to all of a person's needs: medical, personal, emotional and spiritual. Five Wishes also helps to guide and structure discussions with your family and physician, making conversations easier.

    This workshop offers a safe, supportive space to reflect, share, and honor your values for a transition that truly reflects the way you’ve lived. 💛

    Five Wishes documents are legally valid in almost all states. Some states require specific additional forms or mandatory notices. If you live in one of these states, you can still use Five Wishes to help guide the conversation and put your wishes in writing, and you can attach the additional required forms.

Come check out our Free Monthly Sound Experience with Topkare Hospice’s Bereavement & Volunteer Coordinator Rebekah Finn @harmoniumdeathdoula hosts Free Monthly Sound Experiences for Grief at our office location 7071 Convoy Court Suite 101, San Diego, CA 92111 the last Wednesday of each month from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm. She plays instruments she’s collected throughout her global travels and honors wherever you are on your grief journey. Participants can be who they are and experience for themselves how the vibrations make them feel. We acknowledge grief is an individualized and human experience. Instruments may include: harmonium, shruti box, buffalo drum, deer drum, bells, shaker, chapaka, therapeutic infinity harp, ocean drum, swing chime, crystal sound bowls, and wooden koshi chimes.

    Did you know we offer Free Weekly Tuesday Community NADA Acupuncture at our office 7071 Convoy Ct Suite 101 San Diego, Ca 92111. This is a resource for anyone in the community experiencing grief or wanting to try a holistic modalities to reset the nervous system. Our upcoming student internships with @pacificcollegeedu starts on May 14th. We have 10 appointment time slots available each week at 1:15pm and are taking reservations now. Our conference room is turned into a spa like setting with dim lighting and chairs are placed in a circle. Once each person sits comfortable and ears seeds and needles are placed @dr.amymarie leads a meditation.     You are invited to the Grief Garden Club! Please join us every first Saturday of the month at Pioneer Park in Mission Hills for a peer-support grief gathering of gardeners. No experience needed! Beginners are welcomed and encouraged!

    What is the Grief Garden Club?

    A seed, succulent, plant, and harvest swap

    A place for tips, tricks, and suggestions for grief gardening

    A death positive community space with like minded people

    A casual and safe place to discuss grief among peers

    What should I bring?

    Any seeds, succulents, plants, or harvests for swapping (not mandatory!)

    A camping chair or blanket to sit on

    Any photos you'd like displayed on the temporary community grief altar we build for each event

    Please walk to the back corner of the park where the Calvary Cemetery Monument is located. You will see a row of headstones that were salvaged when this park was converted from a cemetery into a public park. Look for us close to them!

    Join us for our upcoming Queer Death Network Workshop & Community Chat, a space created specifically for the LGBTQIA+ community to navigate end-of-life planning through a queer-affirming lens.

    This workshop is led by LGBTQIA+ community members and queer-affirming death care professionals who are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space. Each month, we’ll explore a new end-of-life topic relevant to the LGBTQIA+ community. Join us regularly, and over time, you’ll create a comprehensive guide for your loved ones—ensuring your wishes, identity, and values are honored when the time comes.

    Unlike standard legal forms, Five Wishes speaks to the full spectrum of your needs and helps structure meaningful conversations with your loved ones and healthcare providers. In this workshop, we’ll address the unique challenges LGBTQIA+ individuals face in end-of-life care—covering topics like legal rights, healthcare advocacy, chosen family recognition, and legacy planning.

    You are invited to an evening of free Kundalini yoga movement, chanting, and song accompanied with sound healing for grief led by Lena Bravo-Olsher. This event will take place in the beautiful chapel of her family-owned business, Bravo Family Mortuary. This event is for all yogis - seasoned and beginners - no experience necessary!

    We recognize that life can be especially challenging for those navigating the journey of grief, and having a safe space for emotional release is important. Join us for an evening of renewal and transformation, a sacred space to honor your emotions and step into life with a sense of rebirth and hope.

    Lena Bravo-Olsher is the owner of Bravo Family Mortuary along with her husband Steve. She's passionate about providing personalized, compassionate care to the families she serves as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Lena is also a Kundalini Yoga Instructor and will be guiding us through movement, songs and chanting at this event.

    PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN YOGA MAT AND A BLANKET!
    We will be set up in the chapel of the mortuary and do not have extra supplies, so please be sure to bring your own yoga mat and blanket.

    PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY!
    Please plan to arrive a few minutes early, we will begin promptly at 6:30PM. Given the sensitive nature of our event, as late arrivals can disrupt the flow. We will lock the doors promptly at 6:35 PM.

    We are excited for this evening of community, connection and healing. Many of those who work in the death care industry are drawn to holistic ways of grieving and healing. We're excited to share the 'other side' of our death care team at this event and provide this free service for the community.

Whether you’ve faced death personally or are simply curious about your own mortality, you’ll find authentic, lively discussions with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

    Our gatherings are led by volunteer facilitators, with the aim of fostering positive, thoughtful dialogue within a supportive community. By coming together as a community, we forge meaningful connections that honor our shared curiosity about death.

    We are creating an inviting, safe space to share the heartfelt experience of diving into a taboo topic which unites us all. Whether you've experienced death first hand or you're exploring your mortality, you can expect authentic, engaging and lively conversation with people from all walks of life.

    Our discussion groups are hosted by volunteer facilitators and the intention is to foster positive conversation within a like-minded community. Please be mindful and respectful of others. Remember, this is a discussion led by you. We want to hear as many voices as possible.
